Veretekk News... Get your leads through Text Messaging

It's amazing how simple technology makes our business. Veretekk announced last night that it's now possible to set up your leads to come to you via text messaging. Right now it's only available in the US with the major cell phone carriers. I know for me this is another powerful way to be able to contact our leads when they are still thinking about what they signed up for. That's what I call FRESH leads...

The Shocking Truth about Conventions

Yes this is a picture of our family taken last week at the BIG 50th convention. It was quite a change for us going to the city and being surrounded by 10,000 other distributors. Actually we felt a little like cows being herded from place to place. Adam the one in the middle had never been to a large city before much less in a big motel. He was amazed at all the tall buildings and how close they were together and kept pointing out a building and asking me if I thought it was leaning.

I was colder than I had ever been in my life. It's amazing how cold it is in San Fransico in the summer. I had planned on air conditioned buildings but didn't realize I should have packed my winter clothes! The first couple of day's I was wondering why I thought it was so important that we would even go to something like this.... But the night after we got home I realized just how important conventions are.

The real reason we all decided to go in the first place was so both Matt and Adam could experience a MLM Convention and use the expenses as a tax write off. During the trip I was wondering why I thought it was so important that we attend. This convention was not only a re-affirmation of why I'm doing this business... but has inspired my husband to go on the new weight loss program and both Matt and Adam have gotten a lot more serious about taking their own businesses to the next level and never entering the corporate world. My dreams are now becoming a reality to have a business that the whole family works full time.

I talk a lot about the importance of creating an image and branding your business on the net. If you have been to some of my advanced trainings I'm sure you have heard me talk about the book "The Purple Cow" by Seth Godin. In this book he talks about Remarkable Marketing - being the art of building things worth noticing right into your product or service. Not slapping on the marketing as a last-minute add-on, but understanting that if your offering itself isn't remarkable, it's invisible. Gosh that is the last thing we want to be on the net is invisible!

Last night I went to a DeskView publisher's training meeting and was blown away again when I saw the customization possibilty! The guy doing the training is Jim Grey on of the designers and co-owner of DeskView. You guys I have been a publisher for a month now and didn't even realize what I had available to me.. it's just amazing.

Veretekk Changes and Updates

If you have been out of the loop this summer you need to listen to the lastest recording of the Veretekk Sunday Evening State of the Week Update. Gosh things are changing in Veretekk so fast it will make your head spin. I know for me I've been a little behind keeping my system up to date with all the changes so don't feel like you are the only one if you are a little behind.

One of the biggest changes is now instead of forwarding the secondary email account to an online host. Now you will need to set up a POP3 account in outlook express. There is very detailed instructions on how to set up a POP3 account in Outlook express. It works for other programs besides Outlook Express the instructions are set up for Outlook Express though.

Just released last night is a button in under configuration/personal email is a place to click and download your secondary email to mail2web. This is a quick way to check your secondary email with out having to download your email to a POP3 account.
